Work Culture

We are a start-up. We have a disruptive and powerful idea. And we believe we can be successful.

While we do our best to soar, scale and what not, the inevitability is the ups and downs of the journey. We will do our best to grow as fast we can. We will learn as we go. We will change, morph and do whatever best we can to keep the journey going. We will have sunny days and rainy days. We will have praises showered and will also have to face brick-bats. While one could aspire to change everything and the entire world - on any given day, some things would be working and some broken. Some people happy and some unhappy. That is how everyday is going to be. We have to take it in our stride and learn to smile and move on. The pursuit of creating a meaningful business is very important. But it would be meaningless to miss the forest for the trees. That would not be worth it and not our goal as well.

At Deskfactors, we cannot perfectly define a work-culture that we will precisely do this or that. There is an overwhelming body of content about work-culture and nothing seems to be definitive - it becomes very circumstantial. Companies which were a spec in the horizon pivoted and became stars and attributed everything to an innovative work culture. Companies which were at the helm of their affairs, kings at their thrones, crumbled like cookies, overnight. Professional companies which proclaimed that won't under any weather but laid off. Immensely funded companies floundered and withered. Some or all of it could be attributed to work-culture and to a foray of many factors.

Like many, we could say, we will be fun company.  We could define ourselves as a caring company. Or a company which offers superlative career paths. Perhaps we could provide the greatest learning opportunities. We could aim to be the best places to work. While we could aim a lot more and a lot higher, all these perhaps won't precisely define our work culture.

Given the continual fluidity of time and circumstances, in the long run, for a thriving work culture, what will bring us together is  "being humane & giving back to the community".  These two things sum up everything about how we think and what we strive for. All of us, together.
